Nicky Shows Adam Burke His Support

The All Ireland Final game of Dublin vs. Mayo took place on Sunday, September 17th. Nicky attended the match at Croke Park, and took a few pictures with fans (that can be seen on the fansite’s social media accounts at @TeamByrneMx).

Here he is giving a shoutout to “The Dream Is Alive” campaign, that supports twenty-one year old Adam Burke. Sadly, Adam suffered a devastating stroke resulting from an injury during a GAA football match. The stroke caused paralysis of his right arm and hand, weakness of his right leg, increased fatigue and crucially has impacted on the area of the brain that controls language and speech. He is doing well but they need to raise funds to ensure he can access the intensive therapy sessions he needs. For more information, watch the video and visit their Website.

Thanks to Susie for sharing the candid photo of Nicky.

Nicky To Take Part in Charity Football Tournament

** UPDATE: NICKY WILL NO LONGER PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT **

Vincent Whelan is organising an indoor football tournament to raise funds for Jigsaw, The National Centre for Youth Mental Health, to highlight youth mental health and suicide. The event is set to take place on Sunday, August 27th at 10am at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght.

Vincent told InTallaght: “So as we get closer we have confirmed a Free Style football team by Street Soccer Ireland, a Bohs legends team captained by Celtic legend Paul Byrne, Irish musicians including The Coronas and special guests, a team of celebs, a team of former League of Ireland professionals and some Shamrock Rovers management and coaches. I want to be able to help anyway possible with the prevention of suicide. Football is a great way of bringing people together and with having so many high profile people in attendance on the day of the event it shows we all want to help and reach out to people who need reaching out to.”

Nicky will be one of the artists participating, as well Irish star Stephanie Roche, Dessie and Richie Baker, League of Ireland players Killian Brennan and Jay Byrne plus Richie Kiely, Paddy Holahan and Brian Ormond.

  • Tickets cost €5 and they can be purchased by clicking here.
  • Vincent will also be at The Square in Tallaght on Friday, August 18th, near the entrance to the cinema selling tickets to the event.
  • A limited number of tickets will be available on August 27th at the entrance to the Basketball Arena.

Nicky Hilariously Corrects His Instagram Post

After today’s Official Opening of new Sports Direct Megastore, Nicky shared a very cool video of him and Republic of Ireland manager, Martin O’Neill.

Notice how he spelled “Baldoyke” instead of “baldoyle“? He decided to film a video clarifying what he meant to say. Too funny! (wait till the very end)

    Just to clarify ! ????

Then, by reading all the comments on his post, he realised that he can edit the caption on a picture or video he uploads… ?
