Christmas came early for Nicky today! Eddie O’Mahony from the Football Museum of Ireland was on the show and took a few Ireland jerseys with him from over the years. So cool! Check out his collection by visiting their Official Website. You can also contact him to show your support and make a donation.
‘Football For All, From Small To Tall’ took place at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, last night, where Nicky hosted the launch of Cabinteely F.C.‘s new 5 Year Visionary and Strategic Plan. People attending had a good time and mentioned on Twitter what a good job Nicky did.

UNICEF, the world’s leading children’s organisation, announced that Soccer Aid 2016 raised £6.6 million, smashing all of their previous records! The big event took place at Old Trafford on 5th June 2016, where celebrities, football legends and a crowd of almost 70,000 people came together for the 10th Anniversary of the star-studded event.
“We said we wanted to smash our fundraising record for Unicef and we did it! Thank you so much to everyone who came to the match or donated on the night; you helped make it the biggest and best Soccer Aid so far. In the ten years since Soccer Aid began we’ve raised £24 million for Unicef so they can help keep even more children safe. That’s incredible and something we could only dream of when Soccer Aid began all those years ago.”
2016 was a phenomenal year for all of us Nicky fans. What with the release of his debut solo album ‘Sunlight’, Eurovision, The Nicky Byrne Show, Soccer Aid… I could go on and on. It was very special for Nicky and it was a pleasure to follow and support him on another incredible chapter in his life.
I decided to make this video to celebrate everything that happened and share it with all you guys. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I liked putting it together. 🙂 What was your favourite moment of 2016?
It was Week 8 for Baldoyle Grange Utd, and they lost against Railway Union 3-2, on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned, and Nicky really hurt his finger while saving a goal. If that isn’t dedication, then I don’t know what is. Feel better soon!
Fellow Goalkeepers know the story. Lost 3-2 today … Chinese takeaway and Strictly on TV Happy Saturday Y'all. pic.twitter.com/N7oWz52xEu
On Saturday, October 15th, Nicky and his team Baldoyle Grange Utd played against Ayrfield United FC. Final score was 3-3! Nicky did a terrific job, as always. Loved being there to see everything. Here are some pictures and a video that I took while I was at the game. Last photo is of Nicky with the other team’s coach.
The 3rd Official Game of Nicky with Baldoyle Grange Utd took place this past weekend at the St Itas Hospital, Portrane. The team played against St Itas and they both scored 3-3, leading to a long penalty shoot-out, where Nicky scored Baldoyle Grange’s winning goal!
Make sure you grab today’s issue of the Irish Daily Star, featuring an article on this very same match! Congrats Nicky, so proud!
