If this doesn’t show what a wonderful person Nicky is, I don’t know what does. He had some special old style microphone lapel pins, made by Newbridge Silve, so he could give them to all his fellow Eurovision contestants.
A pal of Nicky’s said: “Eurovision is all about goodwill and competing. Not everyone will make the Grand Final but they will all receive Nicky’s souvenir.”
Nicky and Team Ireland rehearse one more time before the big and most expected Eurovision show: The 2nd Semi-Finals! Look at some behind the scenes pictures and videos below, and don’t forget to vote for Nicky (number 07)! For more info on how to vote, click here!
Ever since we listened to Nicky’s debut single, ‘Sunlight’ and news came out about him representing Ireland at Eurovision, back in Janurary, we’ve been waiting for the day we’d get to see him compete at the song contest and perform at the Globe Arena. Well… That day is finally here! Tonight at 9:00pm CET (8:00pm UK time) the 2nd Eurovision Semi-Finals will take place and Europe will have the chance to vote for their favourite country.
It’s all been building up to this moment, so it’s super important that we step it up and vote, vote, vote! What do I mean by vote? Get all of our friends and family to help us as well. Here’s how it’s going to go down:
ABOUT NICKY & TEAM IRELAND
They will be the 7th performers – That means that we will have to vote for Number 07. Remember this number!
WHERE TO WATCH LIVE
Each participating country will be broadcasting the Semi-Finals on their respective networks. The U.K. will broadcast it on BBC 4. For those who live outside of Europe, you can watch the live stream at Eurovision.tv. (play the video to watch live)

HOW TO VOTE?
The voting window opens after the last song has been performed, and ends 15 minutes later. There are 3 ways to vote:
Telephone and/or SMS. (The numbers will vary for each country, only digits that won’t change are the last two – In Nicky’s case: 07). So please remember his number!
Televoters determine 50% of the outcome and professional juries the other 50%.

Make sure that you all tune into the live show tomorrow and vote for Number 07 (Nicky). 50% of the votes are the juries and the other 50% is decided by the public! Come on, everyone! We can do this!
The day has come. Well, almost. We won’t see Nicky perform at the Eurovision 2nd Semi-Finals until tomorrow, but another VERY important show is happening tonight – The Jury Show! This is where Juries will decide what number of points they want to give to Ireland and all the other countries from the same Semi-Final. Their points and tomorrow’s public votes will decide which countries make it to the Finals on May 14th! Here’s the schedule (CET time):
5:00-7:05pm: Semi Final 2 Dress Rehearsal
8:00-9:00pm: Pre Show
9:00-11:05pm: Semi Final 2, Jury Show
I want to wish Nicky the best of luck! He’s already done all of us proud, so hope he just has fun and enjoys it! Go show ’em how it’s done!
