We’re one night away from the premiere of Dancing With The Stars, and rehearsals are in full swing! Here is a Behind The Scenes look at what everyone was up to this Saturday. Massive thank you to Nicky, Amanda Byram, Jake Carter and Anna Geary for sharing the following pictures and video:
The countdown is almost over, and Dancing With The Stars Ireland is just a week away! To celebrate, the latest issue of RTÉ Guide features Nicky, Amanda and the new cast of 2018! So go to your nearest shop and make sue to grab their new copy! Looking very glamorous! 😉
One of the best things about Dancing With The Stars Ireland is all the glitz and glamour! On this special day, Nicky joined the judges for this season’s Official Photoshoot, and to capture all the Behind The Scenes action was Can’t Stop Dancing’s host, Bláthnaid Treacy. Here is a little sneak peek of the two:
Looking forward to seeing the photos and all the footage when Can’t Stop Dancing returns in January!
There isn’t anything we love more than surprises, and to end this week, Nicky made an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing’s“It Takes Two”, where he chatted about Dancing With The Stars Ireland and its most anticipated return on January 7th, 2018! Here’s the full Behind The Scenes clip:
Sad news came today when it was announced that the very talented, Sir Bruce Forsyth, has passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. He and Nicky shared the dance floor when Nicky participated in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2012, and he was featured on Sky News, this afternoon, where he talked about what a good soul and fantastic entertainer Bruce was.
Like I mentioned earlier this week, Xposé covered the Wella Trendvision Awards 2017 that Nicky hosted. While they were at the event, they had the opportunity to talk to Nicky and see what he thinks about the various hairstyles he’s had in his career. What is YOUR personal favourite?
The latest JNLR figures are in, and they show a big increase in ratings on RTÉ 2fm, including a 5,000 growth on The Nicky Byrne Show, giving them a total of 144,000 daily listeners! Congratulations to Nicky, Jenny and the whole team! Couldn’t think of a more deserving bunch. 🙂
Big shout out to all 720,000 people tuning in to myself & @djjennygreene weekly on @RTE2fm ? .. You all Rock in your own way! ?? #jnlr
Seems like RTÉ 2fm will be spoiling us from now on and we’ll be able to listen and watch The Nicky Byrne Show at the same time! You can catch up on this morning’s events with the clips below.
But today’s biggest news were revealed by Nicky, when he CONFIRMED that he will be returning to Dancing With The Stars Ireland next year! This comes a little over a month after RTÉ announced that the show would come back in January 2018. We can’t wait!
The show was a massive hit for RTÉ One during its first run, racking up an average weekly audience of 584,000.
RTÉ One Channel Controller, Adrian Lynch, said: “Dancing with the Stars is one of the big jewels in the crown of our New Season, the full details of which we’ll be announcing later in the summer. We’re looking forward to working with ShinAwil Productions again on this exciting show.”
Meanwhile, Producer Larry Bass, expressed his excitement for the big news: “We’re delighted to be back producing such a sensational show after a fantastic first run. I look forward to the search for more fleet-footed celebs to be put through their paces and light up our screens this year.”
The big question is, though, will Nicky return to host the hit series? No specific news have been released on the presenters, but Nicky would be more than happy to come back: “That would be great to do again, I’d love to do it if the opportunity arose. It was a great show to do and a busy show to do, but I think everybody enjoyed it.”
