One of the show’s favourite guests, Lucy Kennedy, came back to the studio to share her new hair secret: Viviscal, the brilliant shampoo and conditioner that makes your hair thicker.
Also, Nicky and Jenny mentioned fidget spinners and how they’re very difficult to find, but turns out that Jenny’s neighbour had a few and got to share them after the broadcast.

On Thursday morning, The Nicky Byrne Show teamed up with Ulster Bank once again, for an outside broadcast in Swords Pavilions Shopping Centre.
Tanya Sweeney joined the two to chat about the different types of Facebook friends we have, while Cormac Battle asked the people in Ireland about public nudity and what they thought about it.
The most touching story came from Anya and Adrien who told Nicky and Jenny about their daughter, Aoife Hendrick, who was diagnosed with leukaemia and, sadly, passed away. On the show, they introduced listeners to the clown doctors who visit children’s hospitals throughout the country. Listen back:

Nicky’s been part of the Eurovision World since 2013. He delivered the Irish Votes for 3 consecutive years and represented Ireland in 2016’s competition. Well, this year he’s returning to give Ireland’s votes on the show’s final, taking place on Saturday, May 13th at 9:00PM CEST (8:00PM IRE/UK)!
Eurovision just wouldn’t be the same without Nicky, so I couldn’t be more excited to hear the news. If you plan to tune in from one of the participating countries, you can watch it on one of your public broadcaster’s primary channels. Show will also be available worldwide from Eurovision’s Official YouTube Channel.
Claudine Keane stopped by The Nicky Byrne Show to share what her experience has been with Spar Ireland‘s Food on the Go. She says that when it comes to food, it should be about eating everything in moderation. One of the great things about Spar is that it labels their products so you know where to find the healthy meals and special type of diets (like gluten-free), while making them accessible to kids.
Nicky and Jenny will be broadcasting from Pavilions Shopping Centre, tomorrow! Go say hi if you live near the area.
Carl Mullan returned for another Crash Test Dummy challenge on The Nicky Byrne Show! Amy from Makeup Forever Dublin talked about makeup on men and how it’s becoming a more common thing. To finish her interview, she got to do a quick makeover on Carl:
It’s May and this month we’re celebrating the 1 Year Anniversary of Nicky’s debut album, “Sunlight”! It was one year ago that Nicky went to Eurovision to represent Ireland and released his very first solo album. 🙂 What better way to look back at that than by organising not one, not two, but 3 GIVEAWAYS! This month I will be giving Nicky’s album to 3 lucky winners so don’t forget to follow the fansite on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all the details! (Open worldwide) 😉
I made a poll with 4 possible Pictures of the Month. The photo with the highest number of votes (72) was… Picture No. 4! Thank you all for voting.
Here is May’s Fan Of The Month, @Sann1986! Check out her profile by clicking on his picture 😉 (you can also apply to be the future Fan of The Month).
To finish a week of mostly outside broadcasts, Nicky and Jenny were at the Grand Canal Dock for the launch of Samsung Ireland’s Galaxy S8. To celebrate, Samsung created their own Galaxy Infinity Box that gives people an amazing interactive experience! If you want to check it out, it’ll be open until 7 tonight.
Make sure to support RNLI’s #MayDayCampaign this weekend.

After today’s Nicky Byrne Show, it’s no secret that we’re all a bit obsessed with the FaceApp… And Nicky is no exception. He used one of the pictures from the “Where We Are” Westlife days to see how we would look like as an old man, a kid and a woman; Turns out he’d be a very attractive girl as well! 😆
Fun didn’t stop there! After everyone’s reactions on Twitter, Nicky decided to share another photo of what Westlife would be as a girlband. Not bad! The lads could totally pull it off. 😂 Fifth Harmony and Little Mix better watch their backs!
Make sure to return to the fansite tomorrow because I will be sharing many #FlashbackFriday Photoshoot pictures. 🙂
JNLR day is here and the numbers are in: The Nicky Byrne Show has gained 8,000 more listeners, giving them a total of 139,000 – Congratulations!
Dan Healy, head of RTÉ 2FM, said he was delighted with the performance of his channel as “a challenger brand.” He said it was over two years since a conscious move was made to go after a younger audience. The new policy meant 2FM lost its older listeners and figures were declining but now it has enjoyed back-to-back listenership growth.
Picture thanks to Jenny Greene.
He was delighted that Nicky’s show enjoyed significant audience growth and he attributed it to talent and hard work. “He’s a guy who probably doesn’t have to work, I assume, but he comes in with a massive work ethic,” he said. He praised Nicky’s fellow broadcaster on the show Jenny Greene and how both worked so well together since she joined him. “She didn’t like Westlife, she didn’t fancy him, so you’ve got a really interesting kind of chemistry there,” he quipped.
