‘Dancing With The Stars Ireland’ Returning for Season 2 in 2018

Good news on a Friday: Dancing With The Stars Ireland is set to come back in the New Year for its 2nd series!

The show was a massive hit for RTÉ One during its first run, racking up an average weekly audience of 584,000.

RTÉ One Channel Controller, Adrian Lynch, said: “Dancing with the Stars is one of the big jewels in the crown of our New Season, the full details of which we’ll be announcing later in the summer. We’re looking forward to working with ShinAwil Productions again on this exciting show.”

Meanwhile, Producer Larry Bass, expressed his excitement for the big news: “We’re delighted to be back producing such a sensational show after a fantastic first run. I look forward to the search for more fleet-footed celebs to be put through their paces and light up our screens this year.”

The big question is, though, will Nicky return to host the hit series? No specific news have been released on the presenters, but Nicky would be more than happy to come back: “That would be great to do again, I’d love to do it if the opportunity arose. It was a great show to do and a busy show to do, but I think everybody enjoyed it.”

The Nicky Byrne Show wanted to find a new way to lighten up their listeners’ day by playing a special song at 11 o’clock. How that worked is Nicky and Jenny would each suggest a tune and ask people to text their favourite choice and, after an hour, the winning song would be played on the show. To kick off the week, Nicky’s suggestion came on top (Meatloaf’s “I’d Do Anything For Love”). Check out the duet you never knew you needed! 😉
